Established in 2012 we have successfully managed to rehome thousands of exotic animals.

Due to the complex needs of exotic animals many are kept in unsuitable conditions which may lead to lack of nutrition and necessary basic husbandry requirements.

The recent trends to breed reptiles has also seen a growing number or unnecessarily bred Bearded Dragons, Corn Snakes, Common Boa's etc to the point where the breeders are willing to give animals away just to move them on. This gives temptation for new keepers to take on a free pet. Many unfortunately end up in rescue centres.

All animals that are ready for rehoming after been assessed at the rescue will be advertised in the rescue, on this website and also on our facebook page - Reptilia Exotic Animal Rescue -

At most times in the rescue we have available Reptiles, Birds, Amphibians, and other animals looking for their next forever home, the origin of the majority of our rescue animals is from owners who can no longer care for their pets this can be for numerous reasons - Unemployment - Separation - Moving House - Relocating Countries - University and the list goes on. We also accept animals from a number of large animal welfare organisation, Police, Fire Service, Government Departments and at times to help other rescues if needed. We do not currently take in animals species that require a DWA License.

Our aim at the rescue is to find the best forever homes for the animals within our care.  Upon reception all animals undergo a quarantine and assessment period whereby staff can assess their behaviour also ensuring that there are no health issues etc along with establishing when the animal can be rehomed. On occasions when animals enter the rescue they may require long term care including vet visits and medication etc.

Donations of unwanted equipment, vivarium's and cages etc are gratefully received at the rescue.

Please feel free to visit Reptilia and view the animals that are available for rehoming. We also have a fully stocked retail department whereby all necessary housing, equipment, supplements, accessories and food etc can be purchased if required. Our experienced staff are more than willing to discuss and help.

We can be very busy at times and if there is a particular animal of species that you are wishing to view / adopt please contact the number below to secure an appointment which will allow ourselves to have a dedicated member of staff for you.
